Charles Patrick O'CONNOR, son of Gerald Blennerhasset O'CONNOR (c. 1862-c. 1918) and Ellen BUCH (c. 1864- ), was born on 7 August 1897 in Botesdale, Suffolk. He was baptised on 29 October 1897 in Palgrave, Suffolk. On 7 August 1915 Charles joined the Royal Navy, service number J 26108. He was demobilised on 1st October 1938, having served at shore-based establishments and on board ships for over 25 years. He was on the in 1918 Absent Voters List for in North Lopham, Norfolk, living at Great Common - “J 26108 A.B. R.N. ‘Pembroke’.” He died on 29 May 1960 in Ipswich. He had his estate probated on 27 July 1960 in Ipswich - “O’CONNOR Charles Patrick of 20 Theberton Road Ipswich died 29 May 1960 Probate Ipswich 27 July to Ivy May O'Connoe widow. Effects £348.”
